Pre-fatherhood: You're An Inspiration

Dear little one,

.....Not the baby, itself.

The world is not as bad as they say. There are evil corporations, politicians, the pandemic, the everlasting life threats from the neighbor, but you know what, there's Dad. Your father is the unluckiest lucky fella in the world. Worry not, he'll try his very best to make you the luckiest lucky kid. You may not realize it until being mentally and physically online. Oh well... that's your problem... 😅

You will be born in the post-Covid time... (oh yeah by this time you're still a kicker in mommy's jail.) The truth is, Mommy and Daddy haven't really figured out what to do after you're 9 months old. That's when Mommy will supposedly go back to work. Daddy only gets a 20-day celebration for your birth. Is it okay that you just go from 9 months old to 5 years old so you could just go to work with Daddy? Don't worry. Daddy doesn't really have a job. He just goofs around with other children. You'll like it. It's a co-learning team and Daddy is the captain/soldier. Think of it as THE birthday gift; you're the child of a teacher who's as woke as one could be. He not only beats the system but knows how to inspire you to "be who you ought to be". Why not "who you are", you ask? That's because Daddy doesn't believe in natural characters as those who said they're "born to be straightforward", "born to do things this way", no. Who you ought to be is Daddy's blessing/curse to you until you're at your legal age in society.

You will be taught a well-mannered, engaging listener who knows actions speak louder than words and time will prove the truth. That's of course during your (prison) time with Daddy. There are many talkers in the world. There's even a platform of talkers claiming to be teachers. Everyone will tell you that they're right. Some of them are, some only think they are, some don't know they're not. Fortunately, you don't have to care so much about all of it. You just need to know whether you're doing what's right or not. And again, how would you know that? You've got Daddy. He's gonna examine, explain, and analyze for and with you as you grow into his shoe and later out of it.

Enough about Daddy (for now). Who's Mommy? Mommy is a sweet, funny, capable but confused woman. She could be a lot of things but at times she's not sure. She thinks and cares so much that time takes away momentum and it's time to play Maple Story again. Fortunately, her love for you is only second to Daddy. She's going to be there for you in all places Daddy cannot, places such as cooking, music, arts, exercising...etc. That last one was a joke. Unlike Daddy who could be quite arbitrary because of his ideals and philosophy, Mommy learns from others she found specifically for you. In short, Daddy's more of a field agent and Mommy's his "lady in the chair" who covers where he doesn't.

You will be growing up not just with two bosses, no. Cookie is always your boss. You need to accompany her, please her, love her, feed her, and in return, she will do almost everything for you too, even if you didn't do anything yet. Although Cookie is 2 years older than you, she's taught to forever be a little baby. Always remember that.

Mommy doesn't like Daddy saying this but just for the record, Daddy's only regret may be that he couldn't be as playful and physically energetic as he was with other children. Time will "prove the truth" but it also takes away youth. Daddy has exchanged his youth with boring wisdom so he couldn't help grow with others in your age. Well, that's just the circle of life, isn't it?
