Pre-Fatherhood: A Short Goodbye

The time has come for the best father in the world to actually be a father. Kid you not. The desire to be a parent could be traced way back to the end of my childhood and the beginning of adolescence. It relates heavily to the career choice of teaching and/or work in the field of education.

Since [I] am not physically designed to be the bearer of a baby, there has always been self-training in order to be everyone for it, whether that be a father, a friend, a teacher, a mentor, and/or a keeper...
People say that "a baby is the most beautiful thing in the world". To be honest, just right after that sentence, the words "paedophobia" and "tokophobia" came across my mind. While they are just thoughts, they may all come down to the fear of death of loved ones. Take Cookie, for instance, she has been introduced to the family for 2 years, but there hasn't been a day that went by without the imagination of unlikely tragic events.
This baby is everything. It sounds both loving and burdening. Is it possible that one can love another unconditionally? Love is the truth but what it is remains partly, and perhaps forever a mystery. We cannot study to understand it; we must experience it.
Having a baby is an act of love. One of the responsibilities as a parent is to take on this journey of self-discovery and selflessness. We are, after all, never the most important in our lives, or in the world. From learning how to learn, how to love ourselves, to just how to love, we complete our earthly mission and soon will return to being a speck of dust.
"Love is the reason we exist". We love; therefore we are. As strange as it may sound from a big guy, everything that ever mattered seems like a preparation for this moment that may come soon. It must be true because all English lessons and meetings will be suspended from January to February. What does a two-month suspension mean? It means the risk of losing teaching English, at least for a long while. It was a thought a bit disturbing for some time but when looking at closely, a swift decision. As previously mentioned, the baby is the reason for everything in the first place. One must not forget the origin of goals.
Thank you all for being part of this journey. You are truly appreciated, no matter just a reader of this blog or a participant in learning sessions. Thank you for entrusting, and putting faith in [Free The Language] and its philosophy. This blog will go on with more posts like this one as my fatherhood begins. Our English sessions will go on, too, as we all know the dangers of a full-time parent.
