How to Bring Out Potential

We live in a non-English speaking country in Taiwan... except, that isn't true!
Again and again, Taiwanese people talk (in Chinese) about English as if it's something only foreigners speak. For those who have never been out, there's little chance that they get a clearer worldview. They tend to think they're special and have culture/customs others don't have in their country while sometimes being closely similar. But let's get back to "potential".
After years of studying, 16 actually if college, many Taiwanese people seem to still follow what their elders say "I can't speak English". It's understandable that people who are now 50 say it but those who are 30 or even 20 have absolutely no right to say that they can't because that's simply a lie. They wanted to say "I don't want to speak English". For the record, it's totally fine that we learn something and never use it (um... accounting?) but it makes no sense to look for an English teacher to help you with an interview about an English-related job and still say that, doesn't it? You don't apply to be a swim coach and say you can't or don't want to swim. If so, just don't apply for the job! OK, OK, "potential".
As you read this, you must understand that Andy is also born and raised in Taiwan. He's no better than you. How come he's writing in English and you're reading it? How come he's speaking and you're listening? How come you've reached this far and still don't know you have exactly the same potential as Andy? That's right. We are the same, same ID, same culture, same "potential".
Without further ado, allow me to present you our first participants of Amazing Speaker, they are young, innocent, and willing. They find their own topics, discuss with Andy, and present every Sunday. Imagine these kids doing this every week for 1 year, for 5 years. Andy didn't even know ABC until he was 13. These young learners will surely surpass their teacher. What's stopping you from speaking? What's stopping you from learning for yourself? Recall your college days when you were giving presentations. That's how you learn, except this time, no one will give you an F.
