We'd be surprised how much the virus reveals our humanity......

Whoever says "let politics be politics" is not doing so.

The Novel Coronavirus (nCoV) which started at the end of 2019 caught the world off guard and has gone from few individual cases to global outspread. No thanks to its origin, the CPC (communist party of China). Does it sound political already? That's because it is political.

Let's put aside whether it is true or not that how the CoV became spreading from originally among animals to now person to person is because the consumption of bats, muroids/rodents or other wild animals, the reason that the nCoV has reached to the level that is almost too difficult to stop and/or quarantined is definitely because of the concealment of that particular government. Looking from hindsight, had that government openly announced the disease, teach and warn its people, fewer people would have suffered, not to mention the deceased, and the world would have helped and praised its effort in protecting everyone.

That being said, it's the CPC we're talking about. Asking the CPC to be transparent about the truth is like asking a heroin addict to quit; transparency won't kill them but they just won't turn to the light.

We're not here to comment on or introduce further about the nCoV itself due to the bombardment of media regarding this incident. However, other than healthcare, the nCoV has shown us yet again, how honorable & fallen, how selfless & selfish, and how wise and idiotic humans are. It has also reflected how the media has shaped our global communities.

News that we found absurd:

1. The nCoV isn't heat resistant. Drinking hot water will kill the virus.

2. The nCoV is SARS; it's SARI; it's the nCoV.

3. The cause of the nCoV is dogs/cats or they can help carry the virus. People then kill them.

4. SK donates 2M masks, 100K protective clothing & goggles but CPC refuses to provide materials (indirectly causing SK's shortage of such items).

5. TW is rejected yet again to participate WHO, the World Health Organization which ironically sides with CPC and.

6. CPC rejects TW's request of taking people back from Wuhan.

7. The return of the Diamond Princess cruise ship which causes panic among the people in Taiwan and everywhere those people have or might have been.

The list can go on and there's no end to this mania of spreading false information, a.k.a. fake news. Many of which have become so convincing that we're not sure about what to believe. We used to listen to "the news" but now we could only assume that the news may be one of the truths. The world is indeed moving faster than its inhabitants.

Regarding the countermeasures from our government, we went from announcing adequate stock, banning export, restricting wholesale, total control of wholesale to now "purchase with ID and amount restriction". It certainly has raised opposing sides and this will always happen no matter the measures being good or bad. The sooner we understand the fact that the world is not binary, the sooner we have a chance to be calm. Truth is a matter of circumstances and so are the terms "good & bad", "correct & wrong", whatnot. My reality may not be yours.

From Day one we have witnessed how our celebrities have complimented and criticized for the same actions, we have heard rumors about the possible causes and improbable purposes of the virus, we have observed what actions countries around the world have been taking and we could all agree to disagree. One thing we must have consensus for is that the ongoing issue, although fatal, is giving us a deadly lesson and yet another chance to see who we really are and to be better. After all, the most dangerous one of all, the mind virus, is something that has no vaccination, highly contagious and constantly evolving.
