Often times we try to help our dearest friends, family members, partners but the more we become convincing and reasonable, the higher they build their walls. It's human psychology. Even if we know we should've been a good listener, we have the urge to express what we think is better to the seemingly troubled. How can we help without actually helping? The answer is... a good story and loving characters that deliver good quotes! They don't just help you with English but also in life. Well, it depends on what kind of movies you watch!

Today, we've selected only characters from Marvel. Hope you enjoy it! (Spoilers Alert)

regret
individualism/idealism

Tony Stark journeys back in time and tells

his father, who was murdered, this line of wisdom. His father is one that has a great love for his child but doesn't know how to express it. He spends his life preparing the future for his son but results in a distant relationship that clouds his love.

Unity

Steve Rogers, when making the exposition that the Sokovia Accords is nothing more than shifting responsibility to the institution, stands firm on his belief in individualism. Everyone's their own protagonist and should answer their own deeds; not by others. Though his philosophy is unrealistic, Captain America is respected for standing for ideals.

Thor's story has always been about proving himself to fit the expectations of others. He is mighty as he claims but is lost inside and no one to convey that feeling because he has to be a king, a god, and the strongest Avenger. Although being the one that defeated the most powerful villain, he was devastated and thought responsible for all the lives that were snapped away, as he missed aiming for the head of Thanos. He even needed a hammer to tell him that he is still worthy of all he could be.

T'Challa, the Black Panther didn't think the world could know his much advanced, secret society as his father believed but fortunately, he's a man of empathy. After the death-challenge of his cousin, he shows confidence in ruling and assistance to others by opening up the country and offering help. United we stand; divided we fall.

self-righteousness

Erik Killmonger has a justifiable cause of revolution but an unjust method which is violence. By giving power to the oppressed through oppressing, he becomes the very idea that he would die fighting for. In the end, he is just another tyrant but appears to be sympathetic.

Owning yourself

No one is all-good or all-bad. As the Ancient One said, we simply learn to be better than our worse. There's a demon inside each and every one of us but there's also a god in us. We must not fool ourselves but accept the presence of the two extremes so we could clearly see which one to be.

forgiveness

We make mistakes and we hope to be forgiven. Be the one to forgive first so they can have a chance to get back on the right track again. If you can't, let's hope others forgive us for the trouble we caused.

Self-control
love

The only thing we can control is our own decisions. Spending time changing for those around us is to go on a merry-go-round that never meets the end. We don't fear that we might fail; we fear that we actually succeed.

Find the one that supports you no matter what. Better yet, find the one that also tells you the truth. If you cannot do that, then divide that into several people. Bucky's absolute loyalty to Steve works because Steve is a character of an unchanging idealist.

Be the one that supports a friend no matter what. Better yet, be the one that also tells them the truth. If you cannot do that, then divide your best features into several people.

Finally, HULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLK~~~~~~

SMASH

Anger is often thought to be negative but the truth is... we need to learn how to be angry.
